WinSpec was born in New York City in September 1997 with the established aim
of producing a superior oem chip for the PC market. We began by sorting selectively
through down grade memory and by 1998 we were actively manufacturing our own
chips from wafer. By 1999 we had launched a fully spec compliant branded module
with the goal of selling the highest quality oem module on the market. Five years
later we have achieved that goal with the help of 5 fabs and many package and
test partners around the world. Most of our chips are parametrically tested on
Advantest testers which is a verifiably better method of testing than the functional
motherboard testing done by our competitors. Today, WinSpec is a dynamic marketing
company that combines a core technical expertise in technology deployment with
a global business perspective. WinSpec generates a steady stream of profitable
revenue from its technology distribution and marketing activities.
In September 1999, Winspec opened a West Coast office. The Los Angeles office
is strategically positioned to take advantage of the local market, its technology
and manufacturing base, and also acts as a strategic sourcing office. Our West
Coast presence is incorporated as Winspec West Manufacturing Inc.
In Spring 2001 we opened a sales and distribution office in Hereford, Germany.
Winspec Europe was set up as our European headquarters, with administration,
sales & marketing, logistics and will be set up to handle Return Merchandise
Authorizations and simple memory module repair and exchange. Parts will also
be shipped worldwide from our European Union base.
In 2002 we opened a sales and distribution office in Taipei, Taiwan. This
allows us a direct and immediate relationship with our wafer suppliers, package
and test partners and allows us access to the latest in motherboard technologies
and the new PCB/module designs.
In recognition of the emerging South American market, Winspec established
a distribution center in Miami in spring 2003. With sales, independent purchasing
specific to the market, and warehousing near to all the major freight forwarders
we intend to serve our customers with a broad range of products and services.
Since 1997 Winspec has grown consistently and profitably. Year 2003 sales
results on a consolidated basis are of $70 million.
Today, WinSpec is a dynamic marketing company that combines a core technical
expertise in technology deployment with a global business perspective. WinSpec
now stands on the threshold of a rapid-growth phase, based on tested marketing
and management skills, cutting edge technology implementation, practical Internet
architectures, and product offerings specific to the market it serves.
We are a financially strong partner committed to manufacturing excellence.
